TOPIC: Scraping my shoes on the welcome mat

Scraping my shoes on the welcome mat 5 years, 6 months ago #2

Darcy,

This is a nice looking site. I think it has a lot of potential to help a lot of drycleaners who really, really need to think about their business and where it is going in these turbulent times. There is a very small minority of cleaners who actually have a marketing plan and the advertising seems to revolve around the price of shirts posted in the window. It seems that after forty or fifty years of this we might get the idea that this is not terribly effective for growing a profitable business.

For an introduction I am Everett Childers, a retired and worn out drycleaner, Consultant, Educator to the industry and author of the Master Drycleaners series of books and monthly columnist for the Cleaner and Launderer magazine.

Darcy,

You never cease to amaze me with your creative talents. I enjoyed your first newsletter and look forward to receiving them in the future. Good luck and keep on truckin.

Hi Darcy

Drycleaners University is an excellent way for people in the dry cleaning industry to increase their skill level.

In my previous life I owned a very large drycleaning business in Southern CA. Currently I am a consultant to the drycleaning industry and other small businesses. I enjoy teaching and helping people improve their skills, company sales, and profits.

On behalf of those in the drycleaning industry, I thank you Darcy for your ongoing efforts and the establishment of this website.

Everett, thanks for the kind words. I've got a lot more ideas to release, way more advanced than the old sign in the window!

Barry, I'm blushing. Its about time I do for myself what I've done for others.

Harvey, I think I've finally found the best way to offer one to many support, and provide educational services at the same time.
